Urge the wonders of science and technology. Provide opportunities for the development of scientific literacy and capability. Since its inception, Discovery has moved forward in leaps and bounds. Each year Discovery sees more than 28,00 visitors come through its doors that’s same to one out of every twenty Victorian students. These visitors include more than 200 school groups. A major indication of Discovery's powerful community promote is the involvement of more than 100 people who have been volunteers at the center over the years. Katherine’s initial research interests were in musical acoustics and included optimization procedures for the design of musical structures. Katherine has over thirty years experience as a university academic and has held various Associate Dean positions around teaching and learning and involving regional campuses. She has a keen interest in the design and delivery of science programs, technology mediated delivery and providing close pathways to learning. Ann has three kids who all love science and she lives here in Bendigo. Felicia has been the Environment and Community Superintendent for the preceding four years and is responsible for all communication and consultation with the local community. Felicia has worked as a metallurgist in many mining operations across the country and overseas and lived for one year in Northern Ontario, Canada with her family before returning to her home state of Victoria. Annie lives most of the time in Daylesford, where she teaches Italian with U3A. Sarah has previously worked with Legal Aid ACT and continues to labor with many notforprofit organizations. She often gives seminars to educate boards on their legal and contractual obligations. Sarah also assists her community by volunteering for mentoring programs, including a student promote service at University of Canberra and with Victorian Women Lawyers. Katie is a founding director of ESE Consulting in Bendigo and has many years experience occupied in recruitment, human resources and training. She holds a degree in Business, majoring in Marketing and Human Resource Management. Katie also has qualifications as a MBTI and DISC Facilitator and OHS Supervisor. Jonathan’s agricultural career came to an abrupt halt in 1987 when he joined the national broadcaster. Since February he has had the honor to manage Discovery. He has a mathematician wife and three daughters. One in IT, another impartial completed a science degree and his youngest daughter is currently learning skills in the hospitality industry.
